OUR STORY
LAGREV curates objects from designers, makers, and artists from around the world. From elemental skincare to glass-blown rings, every piece is chosen for its form, integrity and responsible production.
There were many questions, but one stood out: Why isn’t it easier to find products that aren’t harmful to the planet or our bodies? It turns out we weren’t the only ones asking.
It all started in Berlin in 2022, where we, (Kenzi and Matt), met and fell in love.
We bonded over many things we love, and one was a shared vision of a world where sustainability isn’t complicated but simply a part of everyday life.
We wondered.. why is it that when we buy something, say for example, a leather bag– it’s almost impossible to know the standards to which it was produced because so many brands hide behind greenwashed sustainability language, yet still treat workers, animals, and the environment terrible.
A year later an idea started to take form: we decided to create a platform in answer to that question.
In 2024, we launched Move Slow Fast from our Berlin studio — a small collective of designers and thinkers creating space for what really matters: thoughtful design, honest craftsmanship, and a way of making that respects both people and the planet.
Move Slow Fast captured a moment in time — the push and pull between speed and slowing down a little, between how the world moves and how we choose to move through it.
Move Slow Fast was the love child thats now grown into LAGREV.
As the project grew, so did its purpose. What started out as a curious question became a pursuit for awareness in these industries which in turn has become a living platform — one that bridges artists, ethical makers, and design enthusiasts around the world.
WHAT LAGREV MEANS
Our original statement — Move to slow fashion faster — evolved into something broader.
That evolution led to a new name: LAGREV — a natural continuation of the same vision, refined and ready for what’s next.
LAGREV carries the energy of revolution — its name drawn from la grève, French for “the strike,” and echoed in Creole as a call for change. It’s about a collective movement — the kind that challenges how things are made, bought, and valued.
It also holds pieces of our story: LA, Australia, Greece, and Las Vegas — the first letters forming LAGREV itself — places that reminds us of our roots when we're in Berlin — a place we love and also call home, a place that has shaped us deeply.
LAGREV isn’t just a word we conjured while sitting on our balcony watching a lightning storm one summer night — its also a word rooted in change, community and grassroots movements.

We work with designers, makers, and artists who shape things with their hands, their history, and their own wild point of view. Creators from around the world who are doing more than taking the conventional mass produced approach. They look to the future and act responsibly in the present moment.
